Stop and bathe with the roses —er, rose hips.  Ever heard of them?  They are the seed-filled pods, oftentimes called the fruit of the rose, part of a rose. They can be found underneath the rose petals of a rose and are small, berry-sized and red (although they also come in yellow and black). They’re edible with the right preparation.  Rose hips have a rich history as one of the oldest plants, dating back to prehistoric times!  Their uses vary from enhancing general immune function to treating dysentery!   

But in this case, they’re being used for thier astonishing skin benefits.  They’re known for being rich in antioxidants, which for your skin means: reduce inflammation, lower oxidative stress on tissues and helps with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  This is just the start.  Couple the richness from this plant with a scent that’ll make you keep coming back just to take a whiff!  This blend takes our senses to invigorating heights.  Lavender and ylang ylang(pronounced lang-lang) bring a light, sweet and floral note that is emotionally lifting and relaxing.  Balancing that is cedarwood and eucalyptus, bringing a pleasing, invigorating and energizing aroma.  Tying it up is litsea cubeba, a zingy citrus that is mentally stimulating and stress-relieving.  Did you know that lavender and ylang ylang have the science to back up the multitude of skincare benefits, such as: its regenerative properties, aiding with aging/irritated/sensitive/oily skin and the regulation of sebum.  Another sebum regulator is litsea cubeba, which also helps with oily/acne prone skin and reduces the appearance of pores.  All this in one little bar of soap.  Try it out, your skin will thank you. 

Our Gentle, Vegan soaps are created by hand using the cold-process method. I combine lye and oils and pour into a wooden mold. The soap batter is then sculpted and swirled by hand and left to saponify (turn fat/oil into soap by reaction with alkali) overnight. I cut the loaf the next morning one bar at a time. Because these are handmade, the designs and colors may vary from bar to bar, but each one is a quality product made with premium oils and ingredients, crafted with care and sold to you with pride.
